THE MISSION
MOVEMENT AGAINST TEEN TRAFFICKING & EXPLOITATION goals are:

To Bridge, and sustain partnerships between businesses, non profit organizations, political councils, and community boards.

Spread Awareness about the statistics, dangers, signs, and resources through community outreach.

Assist in the effort to Stop Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking in the state of Georgia and around the world through visual representation.

To create Scholarships for Survivors, and share other grant opportunities for the survivors of teen trafficking and exploitation around the world who are dedicated to pursuing higher educational to maintain stability.
Survivors we are seeking to assist with Scholarship Funding are:

Survivors that have completed a rehabilitation program through a local rescue or nonprofit program.

Survivors that are passionate and have a desire to pursue higher education.

Survivors that have completed all necessary prerequisites to be accepted into their desired institution or program
Scholarships
GFWC Success for Survivors Scholarships
Deadline: January 31st
Administered through the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), the Success for Survivors Scholarships award $2,500 to survivors of physical, sexual, emotional, and/or psychological intimate partner abuse who are seeking to obtain a post-secondary education to reshape their future. Eligible candidates must be permanent legal residents of the United States, be planning to enroll in an accredited public or private institution, and provide a recommendation from a licensed domestic violence agency and/or social worker.

Tree Climbers Survivor Scholarship Foundation
Deadline: April 1st
Annually, the Tree Climbers Survivor Scholarship Foundation offers multiple awards ranging in value from $1,000 to $10,000 for young survivors of childhood sexual abuse who want to pursue a degree for working with other abused children and/or adults in the rewarding fields of nursing, social work, child development, criminal justice, psychology, or counseling. Applicants must be current Tree Climbers members, have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, and submit three letters of recommendation.

Catina Rose Memorial Foundation Scholarship
Deadline: May 31st
Sponsored by the Crime Victims United Charitable Foundation in honor of a brave young woman who was molested and later testified in court against her molester, the Catina Rose Memorial Foundation Scholarship is designed to assist young people who have are victim survivors of crime in affording higher education so that they may continue to heal. Applicants must be active in community service, be between the ages of 17 and 25, have no arrests or convictions, and have legal U.S. citizenship.

About Us
MOVEMENT AGAINST TEEN TRAFFICKING & EXPLOITATION (M.A.T.T.E) is embarking on a mission to provide educational scholarship funding specifically for Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking Survivors.
The M.A.T.T.E. scholarship program aims to help teenagers whom are survivors of human trafficking, and exploitation to reclaim their lives by making education and training Affordable, or DEBT FREE.

“By making education more affordable or Debt Free, these scholarships can help pave the way for the survivors of TEEN trafficking and exploitation to secure lucrative careerS, said Sasha Edwards, Founder of the Non Profit Organization, and Campaign Manager for the scholarship program. “These scholarships provide assistance to survivors who strive to start a new life by developing marketable skills in demand for today’s economy. Through partnerships with our local, state, and federal government as well as other non-profits with similar missions dedicated to survivor assistance, our long-term vision is to help scholarship graduates find careers within the Department of Family and Children Services, Non Profit Organizations, Sales or Marketing and Advertising industries.”
